Arts of Asia Boxed Note Cards

Cards developed from Katsushika Hokusai’s, Under the Wave off Kanagawa (Kanagawa oki nami ura), also known as The Great Wave, from the series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjurokkei), 1830/33; Unknown Artist’s Royal Women Feeding Fish,1740; Kim Eung-won’s Orchids, Joseon dynasty (1392-1910); Unknown Artist’s Bodisattva, Song dynasty (960-1278); Kawase Hasui’s Spring in Daigo, Kyoto (Daigo no haru Kyoto), 1950, from The Art Institute of Chicago’s collection.

The Art Institute’s Asian collection comprises works spanning nearly five millennia and from all of the continent’s major artistic traditions.
